Faces of FindCare4Kids: Meet Maddie, Our Social Media Intern

This summer, we've had the pleasure of working alongside Maddie, our social media intern who's been behind the scenes helping bring FindCare4Kids to life online — from brainstorming content to building out our website launch posts. We sat down with Maddie to learn more about her experience, what she's passionate about, and what's next. Here's what she had to say.

What does a typical day or week look like for you as our social media intern?

A typical week includes brainstorming post ideas, creating graphics, writing captions, and helping schedule content.

Is there a post or project you've worked on this summer that you're especially proud of?

I'm really proud of the work I've done on the website launch post — learning our color scheme and figuring out how to make it the best it could be.

What are you most passionate about outside of this internship?

Outside of this internship, I love spending time with my friends and family. I play lacrosse and do gymnastics, work at a gymnastics studio, and love going to the beach.

What are you hoping to learn or take away from this experience?

I hope to learn more about marketing, branding, and what goes into running social media for a business.

Any advice you'd give to another student thinking about an internship like this one?

Don't be afraid to ask questions or share your ideas. You don't have to know everything going in — just be willing to learn, work hard, and try new things.

What's a fun fact about you that might surprise people?

Outside of her work with FindCare4Kids, Maddie founded SOAR (Support Overcoming Addiction & Recovery) — a peer-led support program for teens affected by a parent, sibling, or loved one's addiction. SOAR gives young people a safe, confidential space to connect with others who understand, build coping skills, and find support, hope, and healing together.

As Maddie puts it: "It's not just their story, it's ours too."

Thank you, Maddie, for everything you've brought to FindCare4Kids this summer — your creativity, hard work, and fresh perspective have made a real difference. We can't wait to see what you do next, and we know this is just the beginning for you.
